The boundary, and how sure the phone is about it

A site is placed by an address, a national address short code, or a point on the map.

A phone reports how sure it is about the point, in metres, and Helm keeps that number beside the point.

Helm refuses a one-tap placement that is less certain than the boundary is wide, and the refusal prints both numbers. A boundary placed on a rough fix puts the office in the wrong street.

A break, a gap and a day that never closed are three different things

A short absence that ends with a return is a break, and it is measured.

An absence longer than the limit reads as the end of the day, not as a four-hour lunch.

A past day whose exit never arrived is reported as unclosed. It is never billed as a night and a weekend of work.

Helm says when a phone cannot record you

A phone that watches the boundary in the background is the only kind that records an arrival while the app is closed.

Helm separates five states, and it never reads silence as a refusal. "Nobody has heard from this phone" and "this phone said no" are different facts about a person.

A browser reports nothing about anybody's phone, because it knows nothing about it.

The working week is yours

Sunday to Thursday, and 09:00 to 18:00 with an hour of break, are the defaults. They are not the law, and a workspace sets its own.

Founding Day and National Day are derived for any year. The two Eids are never guessed.

Does Helm track where my employees go?

No. The app registers one boundary with the phone operating system and records the crossing of that boundary. Helm does not record a route or a continuous position, and a person can withdraw the permission in the system settings.

What reaches payroll?

The worked hours of a closed day. Live time counts for today only, so an open day from last month cannot inflate a wage.

Does it work on both platforms?

Yes. Android uses our own plugin over the platform geofencing service, and iOS uses the vendor plugin. Both report through one interface.
